Latest fashion of the 1700's at Warren Library. "In the Revolutionary Style" on Saturday, June 4 at 2 pm.
This power-point slide and demonstration lecture will take you through the ups and downs of the highest styles of the 18th century. From the courtiers of the Sun King, to the American patriot, the developments of fashion tell much about the revolutionary times they lived through. The lecture includes over 100 images and 4 changes of costume.
Performer's Bio: Pat Sanftner has her Master of fine arts from NYU School of the Arts, where she studied Theatrical design, in particular, costume design. For the last thirty years she has made her living working on Broadway in television and film. For almost a decade, she has been a professor at Marymount Manhattan College where she teaches the next generation of young designers.
