Warren Township Library Holiday Charity Drives

The Warren Township Library is hosting various holiday drives this season to benefit different local charities for needy children.

As in prior years, the library has trees decorated with special paper ornaments that contain the wishes of children in need. The Angel Trees, to benefit the Salvation Army, contain the child's first name, age, clothing size and a wish list of toys. Just take an ornament, buy a gift and then bring that unwrapped item and the ornament to the Circulation Desk by Dec. 8.

Perhaps you have some slightly used toys that you would like to clear out before your kids get more gifts this holiday. The library also is accepting toys in good condition on behalf of St. Vincent DePaul's. These also can be dropped off at the Circulation Desk by Dec. 7 and will later be distributed to needy children in North Plainfield.

If books are more your thing, the library is collecting new books as part of the "Books for Kids" campaign. People can bring new books for infants through teens to the Children's Services Department of the library through December 8.
